Welcome from the PTO Advisory Committee
The McFarland Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) extends a warm welcome to our amazing McFarland School District!
The PTO is a community of parents, caregivers, administrators, educators and McFarland residents who are passionate about giving our children the best education experience possible. You are officially a member of the PTO by virtue of having a child in EC through 8th grade.
Please join us for the PTO meetings!
2016-2017 Meeting dates are:
- September 21, 2016
- November 29, 2016
- January 17, 2017
- May 16, 2017
The meetings begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Waubesa Intermediate School (5605 Red Oak Trail).
PTO meetings are a great way to get involved in your child’s school. The gatherings include updates from principals Sarah Boatman, Sue Murphy, and Aaron Tarnutzer, describing developments happening at the EC-8 schools. The PTO officers provide updates and status reports on financial and community goals. You will have a chance to ask questions and participate in discussions.
Did you know the PTO is a non-profit?
Our non-profit status means any contributions you make to the PTO are tax deductible. Keep in mind many employers match donations to non-profit organizations. Consider the McFarland PTO for a matching donation to help your child’s school.
What does it mean to be a PTO member?
Attend a PTO meeting or volunteer for an event. Being a part of the PTO is your opportunity to meet other parents, teachers and the principals. Through the PTO, you will stay informed and involved in your child’s education and can participate in discussions shaping your child’s experience at school.
Where do I get information? We use a variety of methods to communicate including Infinite Campus, the Elementary Express School Newsletter, the PTO website (www.McFarlandPTO.com), the McFarland PTO Facebook page and notes in your child’s backpack. Agendas for PTO meetings are published in advance on our website, along with PTO chair names & contact information.
Feel free to contact us with your suggestions and ideas. This is your PTO!
